Travel Diary // Carolinas and Georgia

We just took the most wonderful little road trip through Georgia and the Carolinas. The following images are pictures from the trip and things I want to keep for inspiration. I've also added a few links and commented after each city we went to for tips and recs. I'd highly recommend each of these incredible southern cities.

Atlanta, Georgia

Places We Ate... Ria's Bluebird (the pancakes will blow your mind), Watershed on Peachtree, South City Kitchen and ate and shopped at Ponce City Market.

Take a look at this awesome map of Atlanta murals from StudioDIY. It's what we used to look around.

Saluda, North Carolina

We only stayed for a quick night but the views of the Blueridge Mountains were gorgeous in the morning. We stayed in a remodeled 1950's motel mountain lodge in the mountains. If you're in the area stay at, Saluda Mountain Lodge.

Charleston, South Carolina

Places we ate...Bee and Butcher, Amen Street (happy hour oysters), Market Pavilion Rooftop Hotel (pre-dinner drinks), and Husk. Husk deserves it's own sentence--it was the best meal of my entire life. Full stop.

We spent most of the time in Charleston wandering the historic area, walking along the waterfront, and...eating.

Savannah, Georgia

Where we ate...Mrs. Wilke's Dining Room (incredible food, fun experience) and Sandfly BBQ

Where we stayed...Planters Inn on Reynolds Square. Perfect historic building, great location, and we got this incredible balcony off of our room that looked over the square. I would highly recommend staying there when you go to Savannah next.

Obviously our trip was mostly about eating all of the southern food in sight but we truly loved each city we went to and all of the sights we saw.
