Who is Eva Amurri?

Liz Lidgett • November 11, 2024

I’ve been a fan of Eva’s work for some time, and I had the great fortune to get to know her a few months ago during an advocacy trip with March Fourth in Washington, D.C. It quickly became clear that the Eva you see online is exactly who she is in person: kind, fun, effervescent, and with impeccable taste. I already knew Eva was a lover of the arts, and her recent line with BenchMade Modern only deepened my admiration. I’m thrilled she took the time to curate an edit featuring works by our artists, and I know you’ll love her perspective as much as I do.

"I've been an art lover all my life– and I've been collecting nearly as long!" –Eva

Eva Amurri is a Lifestyle Blogger, Designer, Entrepreneur, and Actress. She started her brand Happily Eva After nearly a decade ago, as a way to share her love of style, food, entertaining, and interior design– as well as her role as a Mom of 3. Eva launched a seating collection with BenchMade Modernthis year– the culmination of a lifelong obsession with home design and the search for perfectly chic (and indestructible) furniture that holds up to family life. Eva delights in sharing the Good, the Bad, and the Funny of life, love, and parenting on her social channels!

"I'm a firm believer in unique art being the ultimate finishing touch to your living spaces– and making them truly feel like home. I enjoy thoughtfully building my art collection so that each piece I own, and display in my home, has a special story and meaning behind it. These pieces become like heirlooms for my kids– I love how they each have favorites, and create their own connections to them! The right piece of art really can spark immense amounts of joy. In terms of interior design, a great piece of art can transform a room, and bring a design from good to spectacular. I love the idea that the same passion and intention that was imbued in a piece by the artist can be carried into your space and bring such great energy. I'm so excited to be curating this selection of pieces for the gallery because I think Liz represents the best things about the art world: passion, style, groundedness, humor, elegance, and just the right amount of cheekiness. Her taste, and her understanding of the works she features are impeccable. I absolutely adore all that she has built and continues to stand for!" –Eva Amurri

A fearless mix of patterns, colors, and textures that turns comfort into a conversation starter.

Last week, I gave our Gallery Insiders an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what my walls have been up to. Since releasing my book Art For Everyone, I’ve been prioritizing projects in my own home—using it as both a canvas and a testing ground for ideas I share in the book. One of my favorite recent projects has been completely transforming my kids’ playroom. With the help of an exciting new collaboration with a wallpaper company (stay tuned for the name reveal), the space came to life in a whole new way. As part of the Gallery Insiders exclusive, I hosted a photoshoot right in my home to showcase the new wallpaper designs. While the photographer captured the bigger picture, I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos myself—little glimpses into the DIY projects I’ve been pouring into every corner, tweaking and perfecting until they felt just right. From the dining room to the living room, the kids’ spaces, and even the mudroom, I realized how much inspiration hides in everyday details. And yes, I’ll admit— Pinterest and Facebook Marketplace have been my secret weapons! Today, I’m excited to share a closer look at my home and the inspiration behind it all. In Art For Everyone , you’ll find more photos of my spaces styled with artwork from our gallery, showing how art can live side by side with family life. What started as saved pins and mood boards has turned into real, lived-in rooms—proof that inspiration doesn’t have to stay digital. With a little creativity (and some persistence), those “someday ideas” can become the backdrop of everyday life.
