AMY STONE
Birmingham, Alabama
Amy Stone is a self-taught abstract painter, and her creative expression has taken on many varied forms throughout her life. Much of her work is an abstract reflection on the natural world, as well as pure abstraction. Her signature gestural mark making is unplanned, letting the expressive nature of her work build as a reaction to each previous mark. In her work, she finds she is continually growing and staying curious about the imperfect but beautiful world around her.
In her abstractions, Stone invites her viewers and collectors to make their own meaning, but hopes her work brings a sense of grounded hope.
Her work has been seen across the US in many group shows, solo features, and exhibitions. Amy currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama with her husband and their 3 boys.
