Suzanna de Baca

about the artist

Suzanna de Baca works at the intersection of creativity, leadership, and strategy. A multimedia visual artist, writer, poet, business advisor, and educator, she explores change, transformation, identity, and the stories that shape how we live and lead. An Art and Design graduate of Iowa State University, she renewed her visual art practice after a career in business, media, and nonprofit leadership. Her drawings, paintings, and sculpture are informed by the same questions that shape her poetry, exploring the landscape, history, memory, and meaning through layers of color, texture, and symbolism. de Baca is the founder and CEO of Story Board Advisors, former CEO of Business Publications Corp., and an Associate Professor of Practice at Iowa State University. She lives and creates in Huxley, Iowa.
