Gallery Wall of the Month: August

Gallery wall, Allison James, Andrea Ferrigno, Rachel Walter, Elisa Sheehan

On the very long list of reasons why I love my job, one of the reasons is that I love to put art together to create collections for clients that consist of multiple artists. Just as in a museum or a gallery, often times an artwork can stand alone or becomes even stronger when in context of other artwork. These pieces I selected for this month’s gallery wall would look amazing all together side by side in an arrangement like this or just in the same room on different walls.

Allison James, Greater Pastures, 2021, Mixed media on stretched canvas, 36 x 24 in, $2,500.00

When I am putting together a gallery wall, I look to put together pieces that have connecting factors like similar colors or “energy” meaning are they all calming or energetic. Additionally, I like to find pieces in different mediums and styles that still fit well together. I always like to have one piece that has an unusual material such as Elisa’s eggshell pieces. We also have pieces here that are both abstract ( Andrea Ferrigno and Allison James ) and include hyper-realism ( Rachel Walter’s cloudscape).

Elisa Sheehan, Kintsugi Eggshells 49 (12), 2021, Eggshells, paint, ink, gold metal leaf, 20 x 20 in, $2,000.00

If you’ve been waiting to put together the perfect artful gallery wall for your room, we’ve taken the guesswork out of it for you. This might be the perfect collection for you.
