more about Allison
Allison James has been painting since she can remember. Fast-forward 20+ years to 2013 when she received a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking from Georgia Southern University. These three disciplines cross-over repeatedly in her work, fusing repetition, pattern, bold color, movement of paint and expression to create her signature style of grit and play.

A note from Allison
I was thrilled when the gallery team wanted me to curate a group of work by my contemporaries. I met many of these artists last May in Des Moines for the gallery's 5-year anniversary show. Ever since then, it's only made my love of their work grow more. I feel so lucky to be connected to not only these artists, but the gallery as well. It's a very special place with very special people involved across the board. What an honor to be able to choose a few of my favorite works currently on display.
