about the artist

Hayley Kolar is a painter based in St. Paul, MN. Hayley earned a Bachelor's degree in Studio Art and Psychology from St. Olaf College and a Master’s degree in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Informed by her personal experiences and professional background, Hayley is a firm believer in the restorative properties of making art. Drawing inspiration from nature, Hayley’s work emphasizes themes of resilience, hope, and connection. Visible brushstrokes and layers of paint are evidence of the process and history of each piece.
