How to support your favorite artists while quarantined
Social media is such a gift. We live in a time that we can be so connected with one another and still be keeping our social distance. While I have plenty of qualms with social media (and how much I myself use it), it is a magnificent tool that can be used for so much more than just sharing what we ate for dinner and how adorable our pets are.
1. Sharing art you love via social media and giving them credit
A great way to show a little love is through your Instagram/Facebook story! There is a little button along the bottom of every instagram post that looks like a paper airplane. If you push this button it should ask who you want to send it to, and give you the option to share it to your story. So find your favorite artists' Instagram and post your favorite images from their feed on your story and tell all your followers why you love them so much.
If you already have a piece by an artist, post pictures of it up in your home! If the image is far enough away you can even make it a double and promote two of your favorites at once.2. Buying their work via online
This is 2020, there are so many ways to buy things these days. We are more than happy to work with you to purchase the piece you have been dreaming about while we are both in the comfort (and safety) of our own homes! In the coming weeks, we are working to make all artwork available to purchase online—the option to immediately add it to your cart and check-out. Look for those changes to come!
Buying smaller pieces is also incredibly helpful. If you have a little bit of a smaller art budget at the moment, a lot of our incredible artists make small works as well! Elisa Sheehanhas gorgeous, hand-painted eggshells and we have stunning little 11 x 7.5" originals by Taelor Fisher.
3. Get a piece commissioned
You can also commission a unique, custom piece! Give them something to work on and be excited about while they are in quarantine. We are very excited about the artists we are pairing with currently to do some amazing custom made pieces and we would be happy to get the ball rolling if you have another artist that you were dreaming of having a commission piece from—you just let us know.
These are scary times, but we are filled with hope for what is going to come in the wake of this chaos. Thank you for walking alongside us and supporting us amidst the pandemic. Take care of each other and stay healthy!
