Rachel Walter in her studio

So many exciting things are happening here at Liz Lidgett Gallery and Design and we are so excited to introduce to you a new artist we are working with! Rachel Walteris a realist artist with her head in the clouds.

Blue Sky 5, 12 x 12

Her subject of work is often focused on the sky, the stars, the clouds - anything that causes us to look up. Her work is made with layers upon layers of paint that are highly detailed and focused on making the viewer feel the mightiness of nature, and in turn, the fragility and significance of humanity. Being a Texas native, Austin skys inspire Rachel to dream and she turns that into a beautifully rendered masterpiece of light and atmosphere dancing together miles and miles from earth.

Strike 5, 24 x 24

Her hope with her work is that it draws a connection between physical laws and themes such as awakening the human spirit, morality and fragility, and suffering. She wants her work to awaken an admiration and appreciation toward the cosmos and we are able to see the world through her eyes with her amazing, realist oil paintings.

Inspired by Kendall Jenner’s recent Architectural Digest article for he mountain home, this bedroom creates a sanctuary that is both classic and contemporary. The result is a space that invites rest and reflection, radiating the calm, confident generosity suggested by its namesake: Benevolence.
