Shannon Coppage has gravitated towards creating for as long as she can remember. After earning her B.S. in Industrial Design at Georgia Tech, she spent a decade doing marketing & design work all while painting on the side. In 2021, she opened The Studio at Candler Park, a working artist studio she shares with two other artists. Shannon is now focusing on her art career while raising her two young boys in the charming Candler Park neighborhood of Atlanta.
Shannon is most known for her unique abstract art on raw linen as well as her bold color block paintings. Her work is continually inspired by her environment, influenced by seasons and their moods; from the composition in a catalog spread to the unexpected harmony of hues in a row of houses. Her cheerful and bright aesthetic infuses light and life into the spaces where her paintings live. Shannon’s art has been featured in local shelter magazines as well as Garden & Gun, The Nat Note, Serena & Lily, and Anne Hathaway’s latest movie, The Idea of You.
