This painting is inspired by the indelible memories of Mediterranean summers with dinner by the sea. Layers of acrylic paint and gesso built up into luscious texture with painterly fish on a plate. Lemons painted onto the pages of a vintage Greek book that artist Theodora purchased on the Greek island of TINOS. If you close your eyes, you can feel the summer breeze, hear the ocean waves and taste the most fresh meal. Memories worth making and savoring.
