Small Pink Ribbon

Mónica Ajenjo

Mónica Ajenjo’s work uses trompe-l’œil (“trick of the eye”) painting to create the illusion of dimension and shine on a completely flat surface. Painted shadows, highlights, and perspective come together to create a dynamic optical effect that is best experienced once the piece is installed and viewed from a short distance.
