A Fushion of Art and Fashion

Leatherology invited us to team-up on an exclusive line of hand-painted leather tote bags. We asked six of our artists ( Kevin Brent Morris , Bekah Worley , Angela Chrusciaki Blehm , Sarah Schwartz , Jenna Brownlee , Roma Osowo ) to create and paint their most known-and-beloved designs on this collection. Each piece truly represents each artist's style you'd normally see on stretched canvas.

On Thursday, October 3rd, we hosted a dinner in celebration of this organic collaboration. Now I want every leather bag of mine to be personalized! Being introduced to L eatherology , their beautiful collection and incredible leadership has been a true joy. They’re based in Texas but (of course) there’s a Des Moines tie—and I’m grateful for the opportunity to collaborate. The hand-painted bags sold out in minutes and the celebration dinner was memorable. Heavenly plates by DooLittle Farm (thank you Aaron!), exquisite wine from Wolffer Estate Vineyard and a table full of local women creatives, interior designers, BH&G editors, influencers and more. It was a dream come true, and I'm still riding the high. What will our next gallery collaboration be?
