Artist Spotlight: Daisy Faith
Known for her playful use of color and uplifting compositions, Daisy Faith’s art perfectly embodies the joy of the holiday season. We’re thrilled to showcase her vibrant pieces as part of our curated Holiday Under $500 collection.
1. How did you become an artist? Who or what have been your biggest influences?
Daisy has always had a natural affinity for art. As a child, her mother often joked that no blank piece of paper was safe from Daisy’s drawings and doodles. She went on to study Interior Design and Art in college, where she discovered a deep appreciation for the creativity and structure of both disciplines. Among her biggest influences during this time was the Fauvism movement, which captivated her with its bold, vibrant color palettes and expressive, non-photorealistic style. In addition to her art, Daisy draws significant inspiration from interior design, blending aesthetics and creativity in all that she creates.
2. What is a fun or unexpected fact about yourself that the audience may not know?
"I lived in Hollywood for over a decade and have been on a few tv shows such as How I Met Your Mother, Nashville, Pretty Little Liars, Days of Our Lives and Conan. I've studied and performed improv comedy for over 15 years and incorporate this not only in my life but in my artwork as well.” - Daisy Faith
3. Can you walk us through your creative process - from rituals or routines to ideas to finished pieces.
Daisy begins each piece with a photo for inspiration, often drawn from interior design. In her studio, she creates a calm and focused atmosphere, usually starting with a cup of tea and some soothing music—favorites include First Aid Kit, Brandi Carlile, and Taylor Swift—allowing her creativity to flow naturally. Once her surface is prepped, she begins with an underlayer of neon pink and builds abstract shapes inspired by her reference images. The process is intuitive: she adds, subtracts, invents, and eliminates elements that aren’t working, always searching for patterns and simplified shapes to incorporate. Daisy typically works from dark to light, layering paint and frequently scraping with a palette knife to reveal the colors beneath. The final layer features pastel accents, a favorite part of her process, and she carefully balances the composition to feel fun and carefree while maintaining harmony—never letting it become too over-the-top or chaotic.
4. If you could live inside one of your artworks for a day, which would you choose?
“I really love Checkered Past right now. That abstracted red and white check floor is so fun!” - Daisy Faith
5. What was the most difficult obstacle to overcome during your artistic journey, and how did you overcome it?
"For me the lesson is and will always be the act of "letting go." I'm a recovering Type A person who can get very stressed out when things have to be "perfect" so that's why improv comedy has been so good for me. There are some basics you learn in the beginning but then it's all about trusting your scene partner and going with the flow which is where my best creative work happens and it's the very same with painting. I add a mark and then I see where that leads me. When I used to paint photo-realistically I'd get very stressed out and tight and I actually wasn't having much fun. It's taken me years to loosen up to get to this abstract place.” - Daisy Faith
6. Tell us about the pieces you're showing in Holiday Under $500 - what inspired them? How does the idea that Art is for Everyone influence your work as an artist?
Daisy selects photos of interiors that inspire her, often drawn to spaces bursting with color, pattern, and eclectic furniture styles. She gravitates toward rooms that feel homey, comfortable, and warm—spaces that convey a sense of lived-in charm. She has always believed that art should be accessible to everyone, not just the elite. For Daisy, art plays an important role in shaping mood and creating a personal sanctuary within the home. She emphasizes that it doesn’t need to be expensive; small, affordable pieces can be collected over time, whether by purchasing art on sale, thrift shopping, or hunting for furniture and decor on platforms like Facebook Marketplace. In a chaotic world, Daisy sees art as a vital element in making one’s home a place of comfort and refuge.

7. If you could eat any food for the rest of your life what would it be and why?
Hard question! I love Mexican and Asian cuisines but I've always thought soup is the perfect food. So I might have to go with soup or queso... but that's not really a real food ;)
