Best Ways to Add Art to Your Events

Warm weather is just around the corner which means party season is underway. There are many ways you can support your local artists with your special events that you may not have thought of so here I am to give you a couple ideas!

Live painting

Have an artist paint the space while you are in it. Live paintings are very in style right now and can add so much to the day! Whether it be a wedding, a family reunion after a couple summers apart, or dinner with friends, it is a sweet way to capture the memory that isn’t someone being on their phone or behind a camera. It’s also such a great conversation piece while it is being created as well as on your wall in your space.

Invitations with original art

Have a local artist create something either digital or a physical piece that they are okay with you scanning and putting on your invitations or stationary. Make sure you get permission from the artist for this, but it is a great way to show off the feel for the event whether that is playful and spunky or timeless elegance.

Wear the art

Have the artistmake you the art. Commission an artist to paint the clothes you are going to be wearing whether that be your shoes or your jean jacket you can be the walking art piece. There are also some pretty incredible textile artists that would be able to cover you in embroidery or macrame.

Rent the gallery

Have your event in an art gallery! In the month of February we had a beautiful ceremony in our space. The couple was able to commit their lives to one another surrounded by amazing art. We have also had things such as business lunches, baby showers and release parties within theses walls. The sky is the limit—and limited decor is needed. Let us know if you'd like to rent the gallery for your next event!

I hope this sparked some inspiration for adding another layer of creativity to your upcoming events!

Last week, I gave our Gallery Insiders an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at what my walls have been up to. Since releasing my book Art For Everyone, I’ve been prioritizing projects in my own home—using it as both a canvas and a testing ground for ideas I share in the book. One of my favorite recent projects has been completely transforming my kids’ playroom. With the help of an exciting new collaboration with a wallpaper company (stay tuned for the name reveal), the space came to life in a whole new way. As part of the Gallery Insiders exclusive, I hosted a photoshoot right in my home to showcase the new wallpaper designs. While the photographer captured the bigger picture, I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos myself—little glimpses into the DIY projects I’ve been pouring into every corner, tweaking and perfecting until they felt just right. From the dining room to the living room, the kids’ spaces, and even the mudroom, I realized how much inspiration hides in everyday details. And yes, I’ll admit— Pinterest and Facebook Marketplace have been my secret weapons! Today, I’m excited to share a closer look at my home and the inspiration behind it all. In Art For Everyone , you’ll find more photos of my spaces styled with artwork from our gallery, showing how art can live side by side with family life. What started as saved pins and mood boards has turned into real, lived-in rooms—proof that inspiration doesn’t have to stay digital. With a little creativity (and some persistence), those “someday ideas” can become the backdrop of everyday life.
